Vancouver Sunsets

It's been a while, but had to post these beautiful sunset pictures of English Bay, Vancouver. Enjoy! Some in HDR others right out of the camera. Shot with a Fuji XT-1 23mm (35mm) ISO 200 f/22 1/15 sec.

Ariel Hoajaca - NOH8 Campaign

I had the opportunity to shoot Ariel for a NOH8 Campaign shoot. We had to be a little resourceful with the grey coloured duct tape as it is very sticky. I never imagined that anyone would want to put that on their lips, but it's for a good cause. I had black tape, but it's a good thing there's Canadian Tire on Cambie Street. Ariel, is a wonderful model. We had a fun time coming up with multiple poses for the shoot and communicating with tape on her mouth. I shot this in studio using (4) Canon 600rt speedlites (2 on background, 1 in Lasolite 24" Softbox, and 1 to trigger strobes) Canon 24-70mm L lens, and 5DM3. I look forward to working with Ariel again on another shoot.

Tamara Forsyth

Tamara is pretty amazing considering that she's entering the Miss World Canada patent and helping raise awareness of eating disorders in Children. She's very chill and didn't expect too much from our headshot session. I will say that it was REALLY cold that day and Tamara never complained about the cold. It was a pleasure working with her. She loved the final product and I am happy with them as well. We used a simple setup on location with Canon 5DMK3, 24-70L 2.8 lens, (2) Canon 600rt speedlites, a 24' Lasolite Softbox and Reflector on location. Good luck, Tamara!

Karen Sandu on Location - Gastown Vancouver B.C. Canada

I met Karen on Model Mahem as she posted a casting call for a shoot. We were able to get this shoot in during our busy schedules in Gastown. Karen and her BF are very cool people to be around. Despite the chilly night in Vancouver, both were willing to tough it out. In the end, we convince her BF to take a few shots which I hope might inspire him to model as well. Karen is a professional and awesome to work with on location. I'm sure we'll be working together soon on another shoot. All of the below was shot using a Canon 5DMK3 24-70 2.8L lens, 24' Lasolite Softbox, (2) 600rt Speedlites, and Litepanel LED video light.

Gabriella Kriss - Maternity Shoot

Hi All,

Just a few shots with Gabriella Kriss and her partner Taylor. What an awesome couple to meet. I met Gabriella on ModelMayhem. Taylor has an awesome job rigging lights for B.C. place. Gabriella has a warm and friendly personality. She is very professional and many photographers love working with her. I can see why now after one session. Just a few shots from a studio in Vancouver.
